If you’ve inquired about a photography shoot with me, I may have mentioned our “happiness guarantee” on your images, but what does that actually mean? I want you to LOVE your experience with Water Bear Photography from start to finish; so I offer a guarantee on your images.
Things Are So Expensive, You Should Feel Confident You’ll Be Happy
While some things are worth it (like your images!) it can be hard to know what’s a genuine investment versus what’s a money grab. I know that my studio is definitely not the cheapest, but what we offer (a luxury, one-of-a-kind experience) is something you can expect is well worth the cost. It’s my hope that you’ll cherish the memories, and artwork, for years to come.
So What Sets Water Bear Apart?
For one, we own the property Water Bear Studios is on. You’re not meeting some anonymous person in a rented space that could disappear tomorrow. You are literally coming to the same property that my family and I reside at…how’s that for accountability? Gainesville has been our home for over a decade now and I’m deeply entrenched in my local community.
Also, I don’t hire a bunch of other photographers or sub out your session, you’ll work directly with me! I don’t have associate photographers that I pawn clients off on. When you hire me, you get me. You also won’t be speaking to an assistant that’s located halfway across the world. You have my direct phone number and can call or text me whenever you like. I can’t promise that I’ll always respond instantly, but I can promise that when I respond, it’s from me.
Actually, the Entire Process Is Designed to Make Sure You’re Happy
During your consultation, I’ll help you design and plan an entire photoshoot that you’re excited about. If you’re a deep planner, I’m here for it! Conversely, if you’d like to see where inspiration takes us, that’s perfectly fun too. It’s your photoshoot and I want to work with you as your collaborative artist and friend who will help make those dreams a reality. I can’t promise that things will always go perfectly during your shoot (sometimes we encounter bad weather, traffic, or other things out of our control) but rest assured we’ll have a plan that will take care of that wrench life throws in the machinery sometimes. What I can promise is to problem solve with you, be as prepared as I can, and listen empathetically.
After your shoot is over, I’ll share a gallery of images that are pretty much out of camera. This means that they may be adjusted for exposure, global color balance, etc, but don’t yet have that “fine art” touch I’ll put on your final choices. The purpose of this gallery is so that you can select your favorites that I’ll then edit into your final art pieces.
Editing is a tricky subject for a lot of people and is deeply personal. So let’s chat about it! Unless you ask me to, I do not remove things like scars, moles, body art, etc. I like to keep you as the authentic you. I also do not do extensive body shaping. That being said, if you would like any of those things (or something else), I’m happy to listen and do my best to accommodate. I want you to love your images!
Even after I return your edits to you, if there is something you notice that was missed, please bring it to my attention and I’ll make it right. This is our happiness guarantee you’ll have with your images at Water Bear Photography.
